On a lovely day at Burnham and Berrow Golf Club, on the Somerset coast, 11 Members and their guests took part in the annual Burgess Cup competition. As expected, they were met with a friendly greeting and enjoyed excellent hospitality at this magnificent golf club.
On a lovely day at Burnham and Berrow Golf Club, on the Somerset coast, 11 Members and their guests took part in the annual Burgess Cup competition. As expected, they were met with a friendly greeting and enjoyed excellent hospitality at this magnificent golf club.
The competition was closely fought, ending with Martin Griffiths, on 34 points, winning from Tom Williams, on 33 points and Stephen Edwards and Digby Player on 32 points. Congratulations to Martin Griffiths who wins for the second time in the last 3 years.
Tom Williams won the longest drive competition and Stephen Edwards, who took third place on countback, won the closest the pin competition.
