Membership Application Process

The Clifton Club has many traditions from our 200 year history and the Membership Application process is testament to our heritage. The Club is, after all, what our Members make it to be.

Application Process

If you have been referred to The Clifton Club by two Current Members, you should apply for a Nominated Membership and if you are new to The Clifton Club, you will require a Provisional Membership. Until you become a Full Member of The Club, following a successful election by the Board of Directors, applicants are unable to attend Reciprocal Clubs, nor vote at Clifton Club General Meetings.

A Nominated Membership Application requires 2 Full Members of The Club, to Propose and Second your Membership Application. The Proposer is required to have been a Full Member of The Club for a minimum term of 3 months and the Seconder is required to have been a Full Member for a minimum of 2 years. Both Members must have known the Applicant for a minimum of 2 years.

Applicants are required to complete the Nominated Membership Application Form.

The Applicant Profile section of your application form will be displayed in the Club for Members to view for 28 days for Members to view before being presented to the Board of Directors to vote upon election to Full Membership status. A successful application will see your Membership Application elected to Full Membership status.

Upon submission of your Membership Application, you are required to pay your Membership Fees and Joining Fee. This must be settled before your application can be presented to the Board of Directors.

Upon submission of your application form, you are required to make payment for your Membership Fee and upon receipt, you will immediately become a Provisional Member of the Club.

Your Membership Application will be displayed to Members for 2 months, during this time we require you to achieve 2 current Members of the Club to endorse your Membership Application. Our Membership and Marketing Manager, Jonathan would be more than happy to personally introduce you to some like-minded Members.

 Upon completion, your application will be submitted to the Board of Directors for Election to Full Membership status.
