The eagle eyed amongst you would have noticed a new addition to the Drawing Room!
A beautiful Baby Grand has been donated by Mr Chatterton-Allen, a Clifton Resident who has been living in Caledonia place since 2004 with his wife, Jeniffer.
The baby grand was originally owned by his mother, Anne Allen, a soprano singer. Anne sang in The Lords Mayor Choir in the 1940’s, and on the BBC Opera Concerts in the 1950s on BBC Home Service West.
The Clifton Club has made Mr Chatterton-Allen an Honorary Member, so that he can visit the piano in situ with family and friends.
The piano will need to settle for a total of three weeks before being tuned ready for playing.
