Sheila Hannon from Show of Strength Theatre will be holding a historical talk on local Cliftonite SARAH GUPPY (1770-1852). This remarkable woman was an engineer, inventor, designer, writer, campaigner – and the first woman in the world to register a patent for a bridge, in Bristol in 1811.
