Head chef Philip Clench has designed some stunning dishes for this very special evening.  Indulge in a multi course taster menu followed by coffee, and a wine flight to match each course.

This popular social event will take place between 7.30pm and 9.30pm and Member's guests are most welcome. The dress code is 'relaxed'.

Six Nations Rugby

Join us at the big screen in the bar to watch a double dose of The Six Nations Championship.  Round Three sees Ireland take on Wales at The Aviva Stadium in Dublin followed by Scotland playing England at The BT Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh.

Film Club - Billy Elliot

The life of a miner's son in Northern England is forever changed one day when he stumbles upon a ballet class on his way to boxing lessons. 11-year-old Billy (Jamie Bell) finds himself in dance, demonstrating the kind of raw talent seldom seen by the class's exacting instructor, Mrs. Wilkinson (Julie Walters). She encourages him to try out for the Royal Ballet. But when his father and brother find out and forbid him to continue, Billy is torn between his responsibility to his family and to overwhelming desire to dance. A moving story of passion and destiny directed by Stephen Daldry.

First Friday Club

The First Friday of every month sees the Club being frequented by our young Members, who gather to show their appreciation of the Club bar! 

The ‘First Friday Club’ will meet between 6.00pm and 6.30pm for a few early evening drinks. Whilst this informal get together was initially created by a desire for our younger Members to have an opportunity to network with each other in the Club, it has become a permanent and increasingly well attended event on the social calendar. Specifically aimed at Members under the age of 45, the First Friday evening is a lively affair that all Members are welcome to be a part of.

If you are in the village on a First Friday, please pop in and say hello, no booking is required.

Members Bicentenary Party

Our bicentenary celebrations officially kick off at our Members Bicentenary Party! Members will have the opportunity to view our specially commissioned film along with a selection of artefacts and documents that detail The Club’s history over the past two centuries.

There will be a special prize draw  held during the evening as well as an oppurtunity to support our nominated anniversary charity, Brandon Trust

This event is for full Clifton Club Members only and you are advised to book as early as possible. Drinks and canapes will be served between 6.30pm and 8.30pm and tickets will cost £28.50 each.

What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than watching Round 4 of the Six Nations Championship, with Scotland meeting Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin and England visit France at The Stade de France, Paris.

Film Club - Moulin Rouge!

Moulin Rouge! is a 2001 Australian–American jukebox musical romantic comedy film directed, co-produced, and co-written by Baz Luhrmann. It tells the story of a young English poet/writer, Christian (Ewan McGregor), who falls in love with the star of the Moulin Rouge, cabaretactress and courtesan Satine (Nicole Kidman). It uses the musical setting of the Montmartre Quarter of Paris, France. Nominated for eight Oscars and winning two, this film is a visual delight and modern classic.

The Desert Island Discs season for 2018 continues with a special appearance by Club Chairman Jerry Barnes!
