The Clubs Wine Appreciation Group (WAG) are very pleased to announce a special Wine Wisdom tasting Brunch on Saturday 9th September 2023 at The Clifton Club.
We are very privileged to have Christopher Fielden speaking to us about the wines of South America. We will be tasting wines, not only from Argentina and Chile, but also from Uruguay and Brazil – and our talented Head Chef will prepare a special Steak, Eggs & Hash Cakes Brunch suitable for gauchos.
Christopher Fielden spent over six decades in the wine trade introducing various well-known brands such as Jacobs Creek from Australia and Marques de Caceres Rioja. He has explored the world discovering wines to bring back to the British market. In this talk, we will hear about some of his travels to South America.
Christopher is a past president of the Wine and Spirits Association, has written 18 wine related books and has received many awards such as The World Wine Book of the Year at the Beijing Gastronomic Fair. He has also been a judge at wine competitions around the world.
The talk and tasting will begin at 11.30 am with Head Chef Christain’s special brunch to follow.
