WAG Crémant Tasting

23rd July 2025 - 18:00 to 21:00

Crémant: The Mystery of Champagne’s Sparkling Cousin. If you’ve ever searched for a great-value alternative to Champagne, chances are you’ve encountered Crémant de Bourgogne – a sparkling wine made just next door to the Champagne region, using the same traditional method and grape varieties. In fact, a good Crémant can rival Champagne in quality – at a fraction of the price.

But Crémant isn’t just from Burgundy, tt’s produced across several regions of France, each bringing its own unique character by using local grape varieties.

Join us for an enlightening evening with Dan O’Keefe from Tolchards, one of the Club’s trusted wine suppliers, as he guides us on a sparkling journey around France. You’ll sample five different Crémants – from Alsace in the north, to Rhone in the south, Savoie in the east, and Bordeaux in the west – and compare them with a Champagne from the Club’s wine list.

The tasting will be accompanied by a light supper, and promises to be a fascinating and flavourful evening.

Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended.

Price: £29.00 pp (includes tasting and light mezze)
