Following the success of Club Member, Dave Talbot’s two most recent talks at the Club – his fascinating session on policing in the 1970s in January, and his insightful talk on artificial intelligence in June – we are delighted to welcome him back by popular demand. Dave will be hosting a special Speakers’ Lunch at the Club on Tuesday 12th August at 12:15pm, focusing on How to Stay Safe in the Digital World.
Dave is a retired police officer and IT professional with over 30 years’ experience, and he’ll be sharing practical, easy-to-understand advice to help you feel confident and secure when using the internet, smartphones, and computers.
His talk will cover:
How to spot fake emails, scams, and avoid common online traps
What to do if you think you’ve been the victim of a digital crime
Whether you’re shopping online, using email, or staying connected with family, this session will give you the tools to navigate the digital world safely and with peace of mind.
The lunch is £30.00 per person, including two delicious courses prepared by our chefs, followed by tea and coffee.
