Our guest speaker, Steve Price, is a well-known local musician, classic car enthusiast and endurance swimmer. Steve owns a 1929 Alvis 12/60 Beetleback and a 1970 Mercedes Pagoda, and recently returned from a three-week tour of Spain and Portugal in the latter.
Away from the road, Steve has completed some remarkable swimming challenges, including crossings of the English Channel, Irish Channel and a two-way crossing of the Bristol Channel, all without a wetsuit. As a talented performer, he has spent many years entertaining audiences with his guitar, banjo and original songs. Steve also serves as Chairman of Avon Youth Club in Lawrence Weston, where he first attended as a boy.
With stories of classic cars, adventure, music and endurance, Steve promises to be a fascinating and entertaining after-dinner speaker.
