Itinerary:
Tuesday 10th
Clifton to Malvern (M4, M48, A48, A417) 80 miles, 2 hours
Meet at 12:00pm for pub lunch at the Nags Head, Malvern
Travel onto Morgan Motor Company for a factory tour (£24pp)
And relax…At Stanbrook Abbey, a former Nunnery.

Wednesday 11th
We transfer to the Peak District. Malvern to Ashbourne (A449, A518) 78 miles, 2.5 hours
From Ashbourne, Geoff Alun-Jones will lead us through the
spectacularly scenic genuine MG Motors Hill Test Route
(5 seats available in Geoff’s Discovery if you don’t want to punish your car!)
This includes a pub lunch at the Rose & Crown, Allgreave
Then check in for two nights at Moorville Hall near Leek. Welcome back to the 1970s!!
Moorville may be Fawlty Towers without Basil, but it is clean,
friendly and just £65 double/twin and £40 single,
including a splendid cooked to order breakfast! Pool & sauna.
Taxi to Leek for dinner at Primo Piano – an upstairs hidden gem trattoria.
Thursday 12th
Enjoy the Peak District at leisure or maybe join us for a trip to Chatsworth
(£13 garden/£22 + house) and maybe a tour of Thornbridge Brewery (£10)
Drinks at Moorville then taxi to dine at Peak Weavers.
Local, seasonal award winning British food.
Friday 13th
We’re staying at the historic, sumptuous Ettington Park Hotel near Stratford-upon-Avon. 2AA Rosette restaurant. Pool/steam/sauna.
(Double/twin £149 – room upgrades and suites are available – (A52, A515, A50 Fosse Way) 100 miles 3 hours. We’ll plan some visits and lunch on the way. Does anyone fancy National Motor Museum? Bosworth Battlefield? Ashby Castle?
Saturday 14th
Clifton is now 75 miles, 1.5 hours by Cotswolds & motorway.
That’s about £400 per couple accommodation, plus dining, plus fuel and trips…
