Masquerade Mask-Making Workshop

13th September 2025 - 10:30 to 12:30

Get creative and join us for a fun and hands-on morning of mask-making in preparation for this year’s Founders Day Dinner – themed ‘Masquerade’, taking place on Saturday 4th October!

Under the guidance of our talented Events Director and creative Club Member Lindsay Telling – who regularly lends her artistic flair to the Club’s Founders Day decorations – you’ll learn how to craft your own dramatic papier-mâché-style full-face mask. Lindsay first learned this technique at the University of Bristol’s Drama Department and is excited to share it with fellow Members.

You’ll create a strong and versatile base, perfect for adding your own personal touches with paint, feathers, beads, sequins, or anything else you choose. Once dried, masks can easily be shaped or trimmed to suit your style.

This workshop is complimentary for all Members and their guests who have purchased a ticket to the Founders Day Dinner.

If you’ve worked up an appetite after a busy morning of creativity, join us for an optional brunch at 12:30pm to relax and continue the fun with fellow attendees.

Spaces are limited, so early booking is advised. Please book online, email reservations@thecliftonclub.co.uk, or call 0117 974 5039 to reserve your place.

Please note: The masks will take the weekend to dry out and can be left at the Club and collected on the Tuesday for you to decorate at home. Please bring an apron as lots of water is involved!
