Two more current Clifton Club Members have agreed take part and share with us their life and career experiences;

He is experienced in dealing with disputes in (amongst others) the energy, tech, media and comms sectors, and is described by the legal directories as ‘always very commercial and timely’ and a ‘great tactician’. Peter has considerable experience of dealing with substantial High Court litigation and arbitration, and is also experienced in resolving disputes by other alternative means, such as mediation. Peter joined Osborne Clarke in 1996 from Allen & Overy, became a partner in 1998 and was appointed as the firm’s Senior Partner in 2022.

Second up is Reverend James Patrick. (His Honour Judge Patrick) became a circuit Judge in 2010. Born in Tiverton in 1967 James qualified in Law at City of Birmingham Polytechnic. He applied to be a circuit judge aged 40, got the letter telling him he would be appointed when he was 41, but wasn’t sworn in until he was 43.  He was appointed to Wood Green in North London in 2010, and so had to leave All Saints.  He moved to Muswell Hill. Also involved in tutoring for the judicial college training new judges before they start to sit in the crown court, and established judges in sentencing, trial and jury management, and serious sexual offences.
